TL;DR: IPS Inspector doesn't collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Everything stays on your Mac. Period.
IPS Inspector is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we handle data when you use our macOS application for analyzing iOS crash reports.
We do not collect any data. IPS Inspector operates entirely on your local Mac and does not:
Collect personal information
Track your usage or behavior
Transmit crash reports or any file contents
Use analytics or tracking services
Employ advertising networks
Connect to remote servers
IPS Inspector only accesses files that you explicitly select using macOS's file picker dialog. The app:
Requires your permission to open each file
Uses macOS security-scoped resources to ensure file security
Processes all files locally on your Mac
Never uploads or transmits file contents anywhere
For your convenience, IPS Inspector maintains a list of recently opened files. This information:
Is stored locally in your macOS user preferences
Never leaves your Mac
Can be cleared at any time using the "Clear Recents" button
Contains only file paths, not file contents
IPS Inspector does not make any network connections. All crash report analysis happens:
Completely offline
On your local device
Without any data transmission
IPS Inspector does not use any third-party services, including:
Analytics platforms
Crash reporting services
Advertising networks
Cloud storage
Social media integrations
IPS Inspector runs in the macOS App Sandbox, which provides additional privacy and security protections:
Limited file system access
No network access capability
Isolated from other applications
Enforced by macOS security
Crash reports you analyze with IPS Inspector may contain sensitive information about your apps and users. We want to be clear:
Your crash reports remain entirely private
No crash report data is ever seen by us
All processing happens on your Mac
You maintain complete control over your data
IPS Inspector is a developer tool not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Modified" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
IPS Inspector complies with applicable data protection laws, including:
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)
Other relevant privacy legislation
Since we don't collect any data, these regulations primarily confirm our commitment to your privacy.
